Topics for discussion:

1.      How religious institutions function within the frameworks of authoritarian (exclusivism) and democratic (pluralism) social orders, and against the background of Russia’s current invasion of Ukraine.

2.      The appeal to religious ideologies, claims, and symbols as a key element of propaganda and mobilization during contemporary military conflicts.

The open access journal ‚Journal for Religion, Film and Media’ (JRFM) was recently introduced into the indexing process on RelBib.

With this new addition 15 open access journals are now being indexed in RelBib, most of them completely, some from year 2015ff .

Je suis chargé de constituer une petite mission française pour cet événement. Je vous adresse en pièce jointe le cadre général, qui est très large, comme vous le verrez.

Ceux qui seraient intéressés sont priés de se mettre en contact avec moi, en m’adressant une proposition de communication, en anglais. Sans doute le contexte est-il difficile à bien des égards, mais je crois qu’il est important de faire entendre notre voix, celle de la recherche française et des humanités.
